Sport & activities

Park your car in The Flying Alpaca and ride your bike! There are several spots you can reach by bike, either on the Loop Head Cycleway, just in front of our farm, or on the coastal way, up to Carrigaholt and its magnificent castle and fine seafood restaurants and to Kilbaha, where Loop Head Lighthouse is not far away.

You can also take your kayak and depart from Clarefield beach, only 2 and half kilometres from the farm, and go to Scattery Island, or reach Carrigaholt following the coast.

Why not surfing, wind surfing or paddle boarding? Kilkee beach is renowned for these activities that attract tourists from all over the world.

Want to see dolphins? Park your car in Carrigaholt where a ferry will bring you very close to resident dolphin groups.

Loop Head’s western coast is the most famous, because of its dramatic coastline cliffs facing the big Atlantic Ocean, and the spectacular Bridge of Ross. From the lighthouse you can see whales and dolphins near the coast and razorbills nesting on the cliffs.
